Globecast Asia boosts contribution services with Net Insight at Cambodia2023 – 32nd SEA Games
Globecast Asia, a leading global provider of contribution and distribution solutions, teamed up with Net Insight for Cambodia2023, a major multi-sport event, involving participants from 11 countries in Southeast Asia in May.
Globecast Asia selected Net Insight’s Nimbra 400 series as their preferred contribution encoder for the operations between Cambodia and Singapore. Leveraging the power of Secure Reliable Transport (SRT) technology, this collaboration aimed to provide seamless and efficient media transport for multiple rights holders in both countries.
The responsibility for managing all unilateral and multilateral feeds from the venue to the event’s International Broadcasting Center (IBC) was with the organizer, being in the driver’s seat. Once at the IBC, Globecast Asia took the wheel, taking the signals and weaving them through SDI ingress to the super-efficient Nimbra 400 encoding solution from Net Insight, powered by the innovative MPEG AVC encoding technology. These encoded signals were then transported over a private leased line, built like a tank with 1+1 redundancy, all the way to Globecast Asia’s control center hub in Singapore.

At the control center, the signals were taken apart and put back together again, polished to perfection for unmatched quality and rock-solid reliability. Globecast Asia’s technical experts put the latest tech to work, fine-tuning the signals before they were transmitted via satellite. This approach made the downlinking easy for the rights holders, giving them fast and reliable access to the content.
