I’m 25 years old and I have been working as an on-site IT Technician for 3 years, of which I have spent the last 6 months here at Net Insight. I have always loved all things technology, so to work within this field was a no-brainer for me. I think that most people within this field of profession have naturally been the go-to IT Support kid in their family, and I was no different. To have these experiences growing up really does prep you for a career in IT Support and gives you very valuable insight on what it’s like to be helping people in a tech-oriented world growing ever more complex.

I have also taken an interest in Stage Lighting during my university years where I had the opportunity to work with Lighting design during concerts and events at the local university nightclub. This has now turned into my hobby and I regularly travel around Sweden during my free time to work on events and concerts.

How did you learn of Net Insight and take an interest in your position?

I was on my way out of a consultant role and was browsing for job listings on LinkedIn when I found the position as an on-site IT Technician at Net Insight. After doing some research I quickly realized that this was the perfect match for me. Since I have been working with large-scale productions before within lighting, I quickly understood the value of Net Insight’s product portfolio and felt like this is a journey I want to be a part of.

How is working at Net Insight?

It’s fantastic. Here I have possibilities to work and learn about IT tools and systems that I never had the opportunity work with before. Everyone here has been so welcoming, and they show their appreciation of my role here. This is one big family I’m proud to be a part of.

As an IT Technician, what challenges are you looking forward to solving in the future?

Bill Gates once said, “I choose a lazy person to do a hard job, because a lazy person will find an easy way to do it.”
Being a millennial, I have always felt like this is a great representation of my generation, because we are the generation that grew up learning how to use technology to make our work easier. This is something that has stuck with me throughout school and especially now within this field of work, because the true challenge in this profession is to always strive to make work easier for all employees.
