David Edwards, Product Manager at Net Insight has over 2 decades of experience in the world of video compression and broadcast transmission. With deep involvement in bringing to market some of the world’s first professional MPEG-4 AVC HD transmission systems and more latterly HEVC HD and 4k solutions.
David’s work has taken him through many of the broadcasting world’s key transmission technologies – managing products and technologies that have been recognized with two Technical Emmy awards. His broadcast experience has ranged from classical satellite transmission solutions to private 5G broadcast networks, and AI driven automated production technology whilst being deeply involved in IP networking solutions throughout. David holds 5 patents to his name.
With a focus on technologies and solutions that bring content from major events into the broadcast food-chain, David has held responsibility for many of the industry’s most successful video centric transmission products that form the backbone of global broadcast networks.
