About the position

The Technical Sales Engineer (TSE) is a customer-oriented technical sales professional who provides high level technical design support and guidance to customers and prospects. The TSE collaborates with Account Managers to recommend and develop appropriate solutions. The TSE provides an architectural perspective across the Net Insight product portfolio and can leverage technical specialization for specific opportunities.

The TSE acts as a consultant and is looked to as an expert, or trusted technical advisor by the account team and customers. The TSE will receive mentoring from present pre-sales representative in our different offices.

Being based on the US East Coast is mandatory, with the NY/DC area being preferred.

Important parts of the job are:

  • Leading technical presentations to customers and prospects.
  • Discovery of opportunities, engaging customers with your credible technical background and view of the business needs.
  • Prepare and present a Vision and Scope Statement suitable to the audience. Conduct the business analysis.
  • Gather and analyze requirements and data.
  • Engage with customers face-to-face or via collaborative tools and technology such as Zoom and Skype.
  • Traveling up to 75% in the Americas and internationally, as needed.
Knowledge and Experience
  • Previous knowledge in areas like media networks, media transportation, media contribution/distribution and/or scheduling solutions is a pre-requisite.
  • You have a degree in Computer Science, Broadcasting or equivalent.
  • Working experience with routed and switched networks is required, knowledge of optical network helpful.
  • Experience from the Broadcast or Telecom industry, a plus.
  • Experience with Nimbra, live streaming or similar products, a plus.
  • Experience with ScheduALL or similar products, a plus.
  • Proven TSE experience, a plus.
