Net Insight is seeking a Support Engineer for our Nimbra product line

We are now looking for a Nimbra Support Engineer for our corporate headquarters in Stockholm, Sweden, to be part of an exciting journey in shaping the future of media.

ABOUT THE POSITION

You will be joining a fast growing and experienced team of cross functional Support Engineers, developers, architects, and testers who are experts within our uniquely positioned network equipment which enables its customers to deliver video services, such as HDTV, DVB-T, DVB-H and IPTV, with professional quality and simultaneously increase the network efficiency leading to savings in operating and investment costs. You could, in time, have an opportunity to build skills related to any number of our other products and solutions.

As we build our “follow the sun” support operation, you will be a member of our World-Wide Support Team and a vital addition to our Nimbra support structure in Stockholm.

You must have the Technical Skills and background that will enable you to quickly become a Subject Matter Expert on our product, and the Customer Service Skills that will ensure our clients receive nothing less than World Class Customer Support. You will be part of the team that is building and driving revolutionary support processes and associated functions. You will provide direct incident response as well as proactive alert monitoring, response and maintenance.

You will participate in extensive training, while at the same time working on real world issues with our clients.

Your specific duties will include:

  • Work with our customers to solve technical support inquiries from Tier 1 – Tier 3
  • Analyze, troubleshoot and resolve hardware, network and software issues
  • Assist with the installation, training and final network testing for customer implementations
  • Coordinate and Participate in Client Account Ownership meetings
  • Adhere to established policies and procedures and utilize approved tools and resources in the resolution of client issues
  • Create technical documentation for our knowledgebase and contribute towards improving our products by sharing customer feedback, as well as your own ideas
  • Participate in an 24/7 off hour on-call rotation
  • Be available to work flexible hours
YOUR BACKGROUND
  • You must have great Customer Service Skills, Great Communication Skills, be a self-starter with a positive attitude and the ability to interact with customers in a professional manner
  • You need to work well under pressure, be able to multi-task and be highly productive
  • You should have at least 2 years of relevant technical support in the area of TV broadcast, network operations or network equipment
  • You should have excellent network troubleshooting skills in IP (SDH/SONET is a plus)
  • Experience with media transmission formats and standards such as ASI, SDI, HD-SDI, AES/EBU (Nimbra experience is a plus)
