Telekom Malaysia selects Net Insight for 2017 Southeast Asian Games

Platinum Sponsor TM deploys Net Insight’s solutions for live sports video transport


Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM), Platinum Sponsor of 2017 Southeast Asian Games, has deployed Net Insight’s media transport solution for production and contribution of live sports content from the sports venues to the International Broadcast Centre (IBC).

The Southeast Asian Games, also known as the SEA Games or Kuala Lumpur 2017, is a biannual multi-sport event involving participants from the current 11 countries of Southeast Asia. Telekom Malaysia Berhad is Malaysia’s Convergence Champion and leading Converged Communications Services Provider, and offers a comprehensive range of communication services and solutions in broadband, data and fixed-line.


The implementation of the new media network has been made by Net Insight together with Tekmark, Net Insight’s partner in Malaysia.

The 2017 Southeast Asian Games, the 29th Southeast Asian Games, is a multi-sport event that will take place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 19 to 30 August 2017, with 405 events in 38 sports to be featured in the games. The event is also called Kuala Lumpur 2017. The 9th ASEAN Para Games will be held from September 17th to 23rd, 2017.
