Net Insight, a Multi Service Provisioning Platform (MSPP) provider, today announced that they had their first OEM-customer agreement signed. The agreement marks the first step in Net Insights partnership strategy to leverage both its Nimbra platform, and the recently developed DTM circuit switching ASIC-technology. The non-exclusive deal is worth sales of a minimum of USD 1 million in the first year, with sales expected to expand rapidly as the benefits of the technology become widely understood.
- "Through partnering and alliances such as these, we can increase the penetration of our DTM switching technology in the global marketplace. This strategy allows us to increase the overall market awareness of Net Insight´s products and as well as strengthen Net Insight´s position as the leading supplier of metro multiservice platforms, said Bengt Olsson, CEO of Net Insight. We will also be looking at possible collaboration in the development of Allied Telesyn´s future IP switching systems incorporating Net Insight´s ASIC technology Twintin", Mr Olsson says.
Allied Telesyn is a worldwide provider of network equipment, offering high quality, cost-efficient Ethernet-based systems solutions from a portfolio covering everything from fiber network adapters and media converters to Layer 3/4 Ethernet switches. Allied Telesyn´s long-time advocacy of affordable connectivity, and fiber networking in particular, has resulted in market-leading positions in media converters and fiber adapters, and is in the top 5 vendors in the world for managed and unmanaged Ethernet switches.
